What is STAR Certified station ?

Star certified station is a station that must meet specified performance standards established by the Bureau of Automotive Repair. Both test-only and test-and-repair Smog Check stations can be certified as STAR Stations . Both are closely monitored by the Bureau of Automotive Repairs. The STAR Program began January 1, 2013.
